Just wondering how much each item is??

 

 

Blizzard Trimatic

 

ELAN 6S Parabolic with racing flex

 

Dachstein V2 Boots

 

Scott Performer poles

I might pay $15.00 for the poles if I saw them at a thrift store and they were the right size.  The rest of it isn't really functional by today's standards.  Some retro Elan fan may pay $50 for all of it delivered though..

Oh come on Cr, we all know the classic Look turntable bindings work better than any modern binding, that means the blizzard has a value equivalent to a modern FKS, right? Sooo... someone here should be willing to step-up and pay $299, if they believe the BS they type.

haha nice true vintage skis sibhusky! I guess I'm just younger and vintage has a different meaning for me :P

I sort of figured that was the problem.  It was decidedly creepy for me to find myself labeled as vintage.

Not mine.  I used to work in a store that sold that type of thing and was the photographer for their website.

Nice, I've got some old skis myself. The only bad thing is, it's what I have to ski on for now. Can't beat the deal though, got this whole lot for $50! Started me off pretty well last year, but I'm hopefully gonna upgrade this year.

Good luck with those. Shops will NOT touch Geze bindings for adjustment or remount. The last pair I added to my collection came to me pre-broke NEw in the box. These are NOT good bindings and should NOT be brought near snow. The boots look like Nordica 505/507/5somethings their entry level boot from the mid 90's. You need to upgrade ALL.

The poles look OK.   I think you can keep the poles.

 

 

Use the skis for tuning practice.    Use the boots for lucky bamboo planters.

if you find someone who will pay $50 take it and RUNNNNNNNNNNNN!  Seroiusly, even if you find someone to take it for free, just so it doenst glog up your garage, its a good deal for you.

imo, the gear's only worth - for maybe $50 for the lot - is for events like the retro day Hi Fives fundraiser at Squaw. Trust me, there's a kerzillion of these in garages everywhere 700

I posted this a few years ago, but my mother-in-law took this pic while biking in Alaska.  Shows how much value most outdated skis/bindings have...

You could try.  There really is no value to your old equipment, with the possible exception of the poles.

 

You could make a sled out of the skis.  I've done it - insane.

Trust me, I planned on it. Last year was my first year on the snow, so the gear didn't really get pushed too hard. I actually planned on ordering a new pair of twins here in a few days, and I already have some Marker 10.0's that I got near the end of the ski season. As for the boots, I'm going in to get fitted and get a new pair at the start of next winter.

We are saving ours.  In a few years, we will have enough to make a bench.  Then instead of the skis knocking us on our butts, we can sit our butts down on them!
