Skiing the Paradise Glacier in Mt. Rainier National Park 18 July 2012 with 184 cm Volkl Snowwolfs (76 mm waist), Dynafit TLT5 Mountain Boots (2 buckles, but without the tongues), Dynafit Vertical ST bindings, and Black Diamond Whippet self-arrest poles.

That is very refreshing on a hot July day.  Thanks for sharing!

Nice!  Sigh...now I'll need to invest in an AT set up.

the music seems quite appropriate.

Reminds me of the old Warren Miller line:  "skiing is easy because there are only three things you can do, turn right, turn left and go straight".

So, how was the snow?  How long was the climb?

About a 4 mile ski in; trail head at 5200 feet above sea level, top of the glacier at Anvil Rock is 9,500 ft asl

700

The video was taken from 8,000 ft asl to 7,000 asl, above these mountain goats (2 nannies, 1 yearling, 2 kids)

My timing was good, going up with ski crampons on defrosting frozen corn and coming down on 1-2 inch penetration with the shallow sun cups nicely softened.
