EpicSki, more old farts than you can shake a stick at!

Maybe Toecutter should weigh in on this one.

His comments in the 2011 Gathering Thread

Maybe we could get a model from this site:

http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com/

the grandma and grandpa section might be particularly helpful, but it's all good bad.

My co-worker is actually in this year's calendar.  I don't remember which day but he is about 3 and and taking a leak on the side of the road while his sister stands guard.

Well since this design looks like it may be going in a bunch of different directions I think I will sit this one out for a bit while this festers.  biggrin.gif

Weems is riding his motorcycle right now but says yes. Obviously he is the perfect combination of handsome and handy.

Fly me out to Aspen with an expense account to meet Weems and I will take some pics.  wink.gif

TWO VERSIONS?

1. Cranky old guy as done saying "You kids stay off my snow!"

2. Sophisticated gentleman saying "You children displease me." or something kind of snooty like that.

#2 "No poachin' lines"

or "No friends on a powda day."

Something like that.

Yeah, something snooty for the dashing, silver-haired one:  "You hippies get out of my way".

Epic! That's what we said...

Well then, the "You kids stay off my snow"  poster should definitely have the statement at the bottom:

"I'm Weems Westfeldt and I approve this message"

Back to the OP for just a moment.

Nolo, do you have enough feeback for the sticker design?  Is there some consensus?  There have been a lot of suggestions, both serious and non-so-serious.  We've got seven pages on this thread, which usually indicates it's drifted somewhat.  So before it completely morphs into another "thread-killer" thread that never ends, I want to make sure we got what we need.

Yes, it's moved from a sticker discussion to a poster-for-your-wall discussion.  Maybe split into two threads?

Okay, but seriously - can we get some basic logo die cuts ordered or what?  Mark me down for at least 5 of them.

Also, no interest in a gaper boy sticker?  Obscure but highly recognizable to those who know.

I don't always visit ski forums, but when I do it's Epicski.com

I'll look into the cost of die-cut stickers on Monday, without any embellishments. I think we'll go with the circle as is. I'll try to find the bear and moon art, but that could be difficult.

Any other guidance on stickers?

Weems Art -- You are free to use this if you like. Your sticker guy will need to do an auto-trace in Adobe Illustrator to convert to line art. I can send you a higher res file if you like. Can't get too detailed with it since it would be used at a small size.

Request to change the slogan slightly to: "When I visit ski forums, it's EpicSki.com." Not often visiting is not the subliminal message we want to convey, eh?

True, that crossed my mind as well, but that isn't the meme. If you go that route I would go with something different altogether as that makes it just generic. IMO.

+1.  Changing the standard XX text ruins the joke.  Weems' face would be fine for the "Stay outta MY line/snow" version though.
