Here's the first of the ski porn clips I've seen for the new season.

It's over 100 degrees everyday and we have been spending all of our free time in the house. My wife is on the let's move to Breckenridge kick again -- I'm always in that mode. Hmmm - now we just need some well paying jobs at 10,000 feet.
Plus find a middle school with an orchestra so our boy can keep playing the cello.
I usually spend the summers watching ski porn, but it's just not cutting it this year...

I keep playing with the thought of trying to find a good IT job out in the Boulder or Denver suburbs so I would be closer to some good Western skiing and live near some ski areas that have a much longer season than we do in the DC area. It's been in the 90's around here for most of the month so far and my mind keeps thinking about how great it would be to go skiing right now.
As I mentioned to someone at a local gathering of DC skiers Friday night, I need to find a summer activity I can enjoy when I can't go skiing.
Level 1

Thanks TC, I think. That hurt so good to watch.
Now I keep thinking about Mt. Raineer being about 80 miles away from the house with all of that snow on it, and we are trying to pack up the house for a move. That Alaskan Part Time trailer is going to make it really hard to stay on track . Good thing the ski gear got packed first
.
A favor, no golf videos PLEASE (can still get to the clubs).

Youbetcha!
The urban in Sunny looks absolutely absurd....can't wait for the premiere. Looking forward to Few Words as well.
Thanks guys, watching these trailers made my morning!
How much longer one can survive the snow-deprivation?
Haven't you started the southern ski season yet? I thought the South American resorts were already getting snow.
Last year my favorite ski movies were Attack of La Nina,(matchstick) and All I Can (Sherpa Cinemas).
Just saying......
Hey TC what about The Art of Flight?? No skiing but that movie gives me serious goosebumps!!
I haven't seen the movie yet
Perhaps you can dig up a trailer and post it here.
For all of you itching to get back out there, here are the latest trailers for your viewing pleasure...
Candide Thovex - Few Words
Red Bull Media House - McConkey
Teton Gravity Research - The Dream Factory
Warren Miller Entertainment - Flow State
Level 1 - Sunny
4FRNT - Dang!
IMO, The Art of Flight sets the standard for all big mountain winter sport porn to come. Whether you are a skier or a boarder, the stoke factor in this movie is absolutely undeniable.
It's last year. Not new.
It doesn't set a standard. You can't really compare 2 year projects funded by huge corporations like Quicksilver and Redbull to what smaller companies like Level 1, PBP, and TGR do. If you want a comparison though check out Candide Thovex's "Few Words". And as I said before. Pretty sure this is about new ski porn, not last years.
There is not a snowflake in this but it is pretty frigging hot!

folks are the real deal.
M-Line's production
Austria got the goods, eh?

Read the whole thread and you will see how the discussion of The Art of Flight came up. And what I said was, "IMO, The Art of Flight sets the standard for all big mountain winter sports." Anything involving helicopters is inherently high budget, and beyond that I'm entitled to my opinion. I also posted the trailer for Few Words, another 2 year project with a seemingly high budget, in the 7th post of this thread. Again, try reading the whole thread before posting.
TGR's released the trailer for the second installment of the Jeremy Jones Trilogy - Further

Poor Boyz Porductions "WE"
Sweet! Tour de France is done - seriously time to start prepping for the new season and enjoying the last of the 90-degree days...
Thanks!
Nice trailer Bob! Different flavor than most ski porn. Can't believe how deep some of that pow is. Must explore this for myself. Someday...
Superheros of Stoke from MSP
It was a little chilling to see some of the past ski porn stars in this one.
I'm a little surprised that Arne isn't in this one.
Unable to embed this until MSP Allows it.
MSP is proud to bring you the most eagerly awaited ski film of the last two decades. “SUPERHEROES OF STOKE” celebrates MSP’s heritage and 20 years of skiing progression, showcasing icons of the sport and honoring the moments that helped define modern freeskiing. This awe-inspiring new film takes a captivating look at the past, present, and future of freeskiing through comprehensive storytelling and engaging first-person perspectives from those who helped change the game. Throughout the film, MSP honors the heroes who have emerged over the years and pays tribute to the heroes who have been lost. “SUPERHEROES OF STOKE” showcases incredible new action from all corners of the globe, encompassing overhead powder at Chatter Creek, massive spine walls in Alaska’s Tordrillo Mountains, pillow lines and tree jibs in Japan, and massive man-made features at Whistler and Alyeska.
Starring an elite class of superheroes, including: Mark Abma, James Heim, Ingrid Backstrom, Riley Leboe, Russ Henshaw, Eric Hjorleifson, Gus Kenworthy, Richard Permin, PK Hunder, Sean Pettit, Michelle Parker, Cody Townsend, Jacob Wester, Aidan Sheahan, Logan Pehota, Leo Ahrens, and Sam Anthamatten. Also featuring legendary cameos from earlier generations of the MSP universe: Shane McConkey, Seth Morrison, Wendy Fisher, JP Auclair, Mike Douglas, CR Johnson, Tanner Hall, Eric Pollard, Hugo Harrisson, Sarah Burke, and many more.
My kind of porn...amazing how it give me goose bumps & makes me feel all warm & fuzzy at the same time!
I don't think that MSP did a ton of filming with Arne Backstrom.
Me too!
I think you're right, but its strange to see him missing from the line up when you(I) live in an area where his name is brought up all the time, and we see Ingrid frequently.

If you watch the trailer he is in there. But as mentioned he did limited filming with MSP, and not really much with anyone else. He was more focused on freeride competition and ski mountaineering.
I enjoy his memorial segment with Ingrid Backstrom. He has a such a powerful and fluid style.
