Bonnie Prudden-First woman to earn Ski Patrol Badge

If you don't know it by now, you soon will......

I follow Kim Kircher's Blog and am continually inspired by her writing and her insights. 

 

A few days ago she wrote about Bonnie Prudden who (in Kim's words) was the first woman to earn a National Ski Patrol badge, an exercise expert before there was even a name for such a thing, and a champion of children’s fitness. 

 

I briefly read the blog and thought I'd try to take time to get back to it later.  I'm glad I got back to it later. 

 

I'd like to join Kim with an EpicSki High Fives for Bonnie.

She is well known here in the Berkshires, has, or had a myotheraphy practice in either Stcokbridge or Lenox for years.

She was an active climber back in the day as well.  Cool life's story.

When I saw the thread title the name Bonnie Prudden was vaguely familiar, but it wasn't until i opened the link to Kim Kircher's blog and saw the cover of Sports Illustrated that i figured out why i sorta knew of her. My dad had a charter subscription to Sports Illustrated in the 1950s so that issue was in our house in 1957 and I no doubt read the article 55 years ago.
