Volkl Bridge tip to tail length?

Does anyone know what the actual tip to tail length is on a 179/187 Bridge? Does it measure true to size, or run short like most twin tips?

 

Currently trying to decide which size I want. I really need something in the middle unfortunately. I have skied the 179, but they don't have 187 for demo.

ok so i did some research and here are the specs on the 2011-2012

 

179 true tip to tail length is 176.5cm with a straight tape pull

 

sorry i cant find the 187 true length but if you want more speed and you feel like you need more length go the 187. I would think the 187 would be about 185 or something. Sorry I cant help you out.

Thanks, yeah I was basically just looking for whether they were slightly shorter than marked, and it looks like they are.

Bumpin this up as I am about to place my order. Has anyone here actually skied 187? I really want to know if that length will be a handful in the bumps...

They are full rocker so that will make them a lot easier to maneuver in the bumps. If your worried about them being to long just get the size down.

Well the only place im worried about is the bumps. Every other condition i know I will prefer the 187.

How much bump skiing do you usually do in the average day of your skiing? 20%, more? Only 1-2 runs?

Probably about 30%. But its not zipper style bump skiing.

So why sacrifice a loss of performance for your other 70% of skiing by getting the shorter length? Get the 187's and just use them without worry. Maybe mount them a bit further forward if you're really worried.

Kinda what I decided. 187s are waiting for me at the shop. Now I just need to bend my fks brakes to fit. Should be just in time for my trip next week!
