I used a pair of these this past winter. East coast ice, hard pack on piste. I use a variety of skis and generally have no problem setting and holding an edge. But had difficult with this ski. I'm 6 ft, ~ 180 pds mid to upper expert. I was on 172's. The ski would just not hold solid in a carve and was not very good on ice. I could never feel secure in its hold. I used it unchanged from the factory tune. I know I don't have perfect technique, but I did not experience the same difficulty with my other skis (Blizzard 81's, Atomic Blackeyes, Head slalom). I've heard this is a great front side ski in edge hold so I really don't understand this experience.
Anybody got ideas on the right tune for this ski?? Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.
