Bindings Used Marker M8.1 SC

Hello Everyone, first of all, sorry for my english, its not good at all.

I'm needing an advice on these used Marker m8.1 sc bindings. I weight 95kg (209lbs) and I''m 1.97m tall (6.46''). Ive been offered this bindings, and I read over internet, that the may be dangerous.Does anyone knows if this is true. or have any adivce.

This are the bindings (the real ones im talking about)

It is not that they are dangerous, it is that they are not reliable and do not perform well, let alone that the SC feature nave really worked. well. The binding is no longer indemnified which means if you do buy them ad bring them to a ski shop to be mounted, the shop cannot mount them. Personally, I would look at a more recent Look/Rossi PX or Salomon Driver series.

I agree with everything Phil said but should add that separate from his opinion of the way the SC worked the real problem is the age and any binding of the same age will have some of the same problems.  The real problem is the binding is no longer indemnified by the manufacturer which means no shops are allowed to work on them.  When you look for used bindings make certain they are still indemnified by the manufacturer.
