The plastic housing on the heel pieces of bindings that old tends to blow apart due to age and turning brittle. It has nothing to do with amount of use, even brand new ones are likely to crack open when stepping in to them on a cold day. They have also probably been taken off of the safe to use (indemnified) list. Skis over 10 years old are usually not worth anything at all except a few rare models collectors desire.. such as The Ski, Olin Mark IVs, and a few classic race skis. You should mount them on the wall to enjoy them or toss them in the can. If anyone still wants to ski them they should change the bindings.

The M2 was a lower level ski from Pre, it is at least 15 years old and as much as 22. Sorry but they have little or no value. The M5 (derived from the 1200SP/SP) might be the only one that is remotely has any interest.
