I know there isn't a lot of NBA interest among this demographic but there are some that pay attention during the latter stages of the playoffs.  This was hilarious last night..

I guess I like OKC the best out of the remaining teams.  Sorry bout that PNW Seattle area folks.

You'll make no friends around here with that one.

I wish them all the worst.

Go Sonics!

I bet!  They were in OKC for almost three years before I even noticed that they had moved.  There are always lots of hard feelings when any long time franchise leaves any city.  Looks like the owner sold them to an Okie then they moved there after not getting a new 200 million dollar stadium.  Shouldn't you be pissed at the guy that sold them to that Okie?

My MN friends were furious when the Stars moved to Dallas.  Having moved there a couple years previously myself I thought it was great. They won the cup while I was there in 99.   Hartford folks are still pissed that the Whalers moved to Raleigh.  They went to the finals here in 2002 then won the the cup on my birthday in 2006.  I've gotten to go to quite a few games.

If there is enough interest you'll get another basketball franchise.  I'm betting the Timberwoves won't be able to sustain much longer in Minnesota.

Anyway, my OKC kin are elated that the team has made the finals.  I just hope LeBron never gets a ring.  I kind of like Wade but would prefer the Celts take the East.

If you've got a spare two hours check out this award winning movie, "Sonicsgate," about the whole affair.  It was a planned hijack from the start and "Mr. Starbucks" himself was hoodwinked.  How he could be so dense is beyond understanding, unless he wasn't...

A couple of years back my friend and I had a debate: if you were starting an NBA team, which player would you take?  He said LeBron.  I said Durant.  He said I was crazy.  I then guaranteed that Durant would win more titles.  It's going to be interesting to see how this season pans out... but I still like my prediction.

LOL, I would have said Blake Griffin, being that I am a Sooner first (undergrad) and Longhorn second (grad school).  You can bet the Thunder is exploring a way to have both if possible in the future.

I seriously doubt it - OKC has a core of young players already built around Durant / Westbrook and are in the finals now.

Well we've got the man that dissed Cleveland versus the team that dissed Seattle.  Regardless of who wins, and entire city will be furious about it.

I hope the Thunder pull it off.

My favorites aren't fairing well this season but this did make me laugh!

Really hoping OKC can get it together and close it out in Houston!

I cannot, ever, root for the Thunder.  They are a great team with super players, but as a long time Sonics fan the hurt is too much every time I even hear OKC mentioned.  Clay Bennett is one of my least favorite human beings.

On a similar, but opposite note... One of the main reasons I picked the Lakers to start following back in the mid 80s was because they had once called Minnesota home.  And, the Celtics fans I knew were REALLY obnoxious hahahaha!   I don't really have a single NBA favorite team these days, but Lakers, Knicks, and gasp Thunder are certainly on my list.  I only buy the t-shirt when the Lakers win it all.
