Best backcountry ski backpacks.

Hey all, with the closing of the season I would like to take advantage of all the sales. I'm looking for a day back pack that holds skis in A-frame style and also diagonal style. I would also like the backpack to have a ice axe loop. But the real problem is: money. I would like to buy a product no more then $70. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I think your best option given your budget is the Osprey Kode series, both Kode 30 and 22 are available at giantnerd for 40% off. Osprey has good packs and has lifetime warranty!

They have most if not all the features you want!

Echo those thoughts. I've got the Kode 22 and it does the job superbly plus it's really comfortable.

I think Osprey makes the best ski packs.  The Kode series is excellent, but they have a wide range of other models that work well too.  I like Osprey because the quality is great, and the packs are intelligently made with lots of thoughtful details.  The company has been around awhile and their packs have evolved with input from real backcountry skiers.

I've been really happy with my Black Diamond Covert. The avi tools pocket is excellent, it has been exceptionally durable over 3 seasons, carries well and has nice ski carry options.

I love my DaKine backpack! I have the heli pro model. However they make many other types of backpacks too. DaKine makes the best stuff and you can get backpacks with cool graphics on them! Hope this helps!
