Compilation of Best Ski Tuning Videos

Thread Starter

I have started a compilation of what I think are the best tuning videos from You Tube.  Please take a look and let me know if I have missed an obvious one.

Also, a couple of areas I need to expand in are XC and snowboard-specific tuning.

What I have tried to do is exclude videos with glaring flaws or misstatements; so while if most of a video is good but they hold a scraper wrong or give bad advice on edges, I passed on it.

Here is the link:

Thanks & I hope you find it useful.

Marc,

I first saw the Willi Wiltz videos a few months ago and learned a lot from them.  It can't hurt to get tips from a guy who tuned skis for some of the best in the world.   Previously, I downloaded the SVST videos for my own use but your grouping is superior.  Thanks!

A suggestion:  Put together a ski tuning kit for the first timers--you probably already sell one--and then demonstrate how to use each tool/stone//wax/etc. in your own video.  This could help all those people asking questions every year about how to tune their skis.  These people need someone to walk them through the process using the exact tools they have in hand.

I am a relative novice at waxing XC skis and just use the SWIX Nordic Waxing Clinic 2010 as a guide.  It contains more info than I need since I'm lucky to XC more than 5 or 6 times per year (I usually can only rent "waxless" skis for the kids, anyway).

The whole TOKO seriers is hard to beat, but they are in a whole bunch of videos (not just two):

Have at it.

Thanks for the compilation.  This should be helpful when I start learning to tune my own skis this summer.
