European Resorts

Hello Eurozone!

I'm looking for some help from you at getting the European resort pages improved. I've noticed sometimes there will be a thread about a European ski area and we don't have a page for it. Could you take a look at our Europe resorts section and let me know if you notice any resorts that are missing and either post that here or PM me? Also if you see any tweaks to the existing page that needs made, please feel free to. Thanks,

Where are the details to the Euro ski resorts?

We live in Courchevel, France and I know quite a few of the resorts round and about there.

Hi tylrwnzl

I can see the European resorts shown (under the Resorts heading) are very under populated.  You could include a huge number, perhaps by using the skiclub.co.uk resort lists or wtss.co.uk, or have I missed the point? Did you actually want us to post up missing resorts instead and review them - would be a huge job for the European resorts lists.

Tyler, I just stumbled onto this thread/group and it caused me to take a quick look at the European resort lists for the first time in a while.  Many more ski areas are covered than in the past.  Kudos to you.

Perhaps the FIRST THING that the members of this group should do is take a look at the lists for each European country and sanity CHECK that they cover at least the TOP ten RESORTS in each country even if no one offers a detailed review, then we could take it from there to fill in the lesser ski areas as members offer input/reviews/suggestions on others they have experienced.  Of course, if you have an easy way to load it, you could do as ChrisJerseyUK suggests and grab a list of resorts from some of the comprehensive sources he mentions.  But the total number of resorts could be in the hundreds, if not thousands.

Having said that, it looks like the list for Italy has the most lapses and I would suggest adding Cortina d' Ampezzo, Sestriere, Madonna di Campiglio, Cervinia, Val Gardena, to mention just a few missing top resorts.

My personal visits to the Alps are very limited, but I'll try to enter a short review of Saalbach-Hinterglemm soon and could briefly review several lesser known Austrian resorts not currently listed:  Flachau, Zauchensee, Bad Gastein, Zell am See.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the tips and insights. I've only managed to add a few resorts and have been busy as of late. I will definitely try to get some of the major resorts up soon.
