Any thoughts on FIscher Freeride X13 Bindings?

I found good price (I guess $500) on 2011/2012 Fischer Watea 98 skis including bindings X13 Fat 115 bindings. I have never seen any recommendation for bindings looking through the forum but marker, look or salomon. Fischer website doesn`t have much information about the product (I believe that`s not their business) so I have no idea how much those bindings weight .

Anyone out there using fischer X13 bindings?

I've been using the X13 on my Fischers for the past 3 years. I've had no issues with them.

Fischer's bindings are made by Tyrolia.  The pics I have seen of the X13 make them look like a beefier (more metal) version of the standard Tyrolia 12 DIN binding that I have on my RX8's (same thing as the Mojo 12).  I do not like the "diagonal heel" feature on that binding in some situations.  Particularly, in "sticky" snow (spring comes to mind) when you set, then turn, you can twist free of the binding without even knowing that you just left a ski behind.  The solution that has worked for me has been to turn the DINs up a full notch.  In the non-look bindings, I prefer the fixed heel (which Tyrolia uses on the Mojo 15 and Marker uses on its 12 din "free" bindings).

Not a big concern, more of an annoyance.  Otherwise, they release when they should.
