Nice material indeed!

Does anybody else notice that there is no Obsheted on K2 2013 line? Wondering why they would not offer a pro model for their most famous freerider skier...also what he would be using isntead...

So ..... Blizzard and Kastle are not considered "freeride" skis ..... but Head, Rossi, Nordica, etc. are??  .... or am I just not looking hard enough?

I was assuming there was no catalog released at this point, even though info are available over the web... go figure! :-)

I guess you could say this almost any year, but 2012/2013 is really, really taking the lead in regards to gear evoloutions.... AT bindings beeing one of the segments that got a lot of buzz!! Also the range of skis presented from both the big, and the smaller "niche" brands are quite impressive!

Yep, there's always something to buzz over. Looked at the catalogues; always impressed about how little they actually reveal about gear. Apparently ski weights are state secrets, as is actual construction and radius by length. Rocker dimensions are clearly grist for the Taliban if you're a major. Head, for instance, manages to talk about its REV line without ever noting that (far as I know) some have metal and some don't, or why some have a far wider range of lengths than others, or how much rocker they have, or much of anything else. Perhaps the dealer gets a super-secret double swear-I-won't-tell booklet with the rest of the data. Or not. But topsheets are always cool. And they probably drive sales.

Anyway, IMO agree the news this year is in (gasp) not-skis. Boots and AT bindings, for sure. Quietly, helmets are improving too. Guess for skis we'll have to wait for the next wave of indie innovation, and then a year or two later, the majors appropriating and refining it.

Hmmm. Maybe the majors' holding companies should just buy up the indies, use them as farm teams. Wonder how many dedicated owner-designers would turn down becoming millionaires overnight?popcorn.gif

Nothing useful yet, but 2013/2014 are showing up. DPS also posted earlier Today on twitter that its 13/14 catalog is going through final editing! Should see something soon, since demos will start happening in a month or so I guess! Freeskier magazine also had some sneak peek of some 13/14 gear on their last mag.

Lots of 13/14 info here.  Great site!
