I'm not sure which announcer feed you had, but whoever was calling mine was crazy. The one commentator sounded like a british version of when SNL spoofs an old southern plantation owner coming up with all these crazy sayings that made no sense. Then there was the bit were Pepe and Messi were talking to one another and he said "Pepe showing good sportsmanship there. That's two words you don't hear together 'Pepe' and 'sportsmanship'".
What, no football (soccer) fans? - Page 15
Now that this thread is active again, let's get some picks in:
Barcelona v. Atletico (i feel this is a toss-up, going w/ Barca because of depth)
Real Madrid v. Dortmund (i can't stand Madrid)
PSG v. Chelsea (can't stand Chelsea)
Man United v. Bayern (Bayern will win it all again, of course)
Almost here. SUNDAY!!!!! Think I'll wear a kit around town tomorrow, old school Owens jersey
I kind of always had a soft spot for Liverpool (although I'm an Arsenal fan when it comes to EPL), but would love to see my boy Dzeko do well. Let's see 4:3 Liverpool w/ a Dzeko hat trick :). I'll be sporting a Dzeko jersey (the City one).
Sunday I'll wear the Gerrard jersey.
Problem with Suarez's mugging was that it happened after a particularly egregious dive. He might have gotten the foul had he not dove earlier.
Looking forward to the Chelsea game!
Ya, he could have very well been booked for the earlier dive. Like I said, all's well that ends well.
I know right? They seem to have come out of nowhere last month. I'm pretty happy with the overall performance of Liverpool. Hope they somehow win it all, but much better than the past several seasons regardless.
I hear you on their performance this season, but only as it relates to their past few seasons. Liverpool definitely belongs in the top 4, seems like this season they got in at Man U's expense. Chelsea and City (past few seasons) have been able to buy their way to the top. We'll see who drops out next year, but will be nice to see Liverpool play CL again.
