Ran across an article today from the San Francisco chronicle. Two young men decided it would be cool to build a wilderness shelter in Utah's Provo Canyon and then have a trip wire on either entrance that swung down this nasty widow making device:
Fortunately the ranger who ran across it was ex-military and specially trained in detection of things like this. This time of year there is a lot of hiking there, but I believe some individuals do backcountry skiing there in the winter?
