I am suggesting the following schedule, which we have time to tweak somewhat, all except for being at Bridger on Day 1.

 

Sunday, March 24 -- Travel Day

*I will arrange for a special rate Sunday & (possibly) Monday night(s), probably at La Quinta, which is brand-new, has a free airport shuttle, and located right off I-90 and is as close to Bridger as you can get. 

 

Monday March 25 -- Bridger Bowl

 

Tuesday March 26 -- Big Sky

 

Wednesday March 27 -- optional Moonlight Basin day

 

Thursday and Friday March 28-29 -- Big Sky

 

Thursday we'll vote on next year's venue

 

Saturday, March 30 -- Travel Day

If the dinner were on Thu evening, would be better for people who want to leave on Friday in order to be home for Easter weekend.

I will arrange for a room block and special rate Saturday & Sunday nights at the Grantree Hotel, which has a free shuttle to and from the airport and to and from Bridger Bowl, restaurant, casino, etc. There's a free bus to Big Sky from Bozeman that non drivers can ride Monday morning.

 

 

Very nice plan for those who won't have a car.

 

Which night will the special rate at Big Sky start?

The rate starts when you arrive, if you say you're with our group. In other words, you can extend the rate either side of the March 23-28 dates, as I understand it.

Nolo, a while back you asked if 6 days was too long.  I only see 5 days of scheduled skiing, ie 25th-29th, however, I think the timing is correct.  Would think that since Big Sky is a little harder to get to than some other resorts, most people will want to make the most of it and ski at least 4-5 days.  Thanks for being the GM on this.  Your efforts are appreciated.  If the sun comes up and the creek don't rise, I'll be in Montana in March.
