Here is my situation, I'm a father of two under two, living in CT and I'm currently the only skier in my household. I work rotating shift work and get plenty of days off during the normal work week to ski. I usually get the chance to ski about 20 - 30 times a season, from a combination of normal work/daycare days and a planned trip or two. I commute to So. VT for daily ski trips, anything longer then a two hour drive is pushing the limits of skiing and driving in one day for me.
The dilemma is I'm unsure of where to get a pass this year. For the past three seasons since my return to New England I've had a pass at Mount Snow. I've always liked Mount Snow. It's the most convenient decent mountain for me to get up to. Up the road just a little bit, around the two hour mark are Okemo and Stratton. I'm purchasing a mid-week only pass; if I were to ski on a weekend it'll be on a trip to the Northern Tier, Magic (if the conditions are right), or out West. Now Stratton, Okemo and Sunapee have a combination mid-week pass for a slightly cheaper price then the mid-week Mount Snow only pass. I have no experience with Stratton and limited experience with Okemo.
So my dilemma is should I jump ship and get the three mountain pass (Okemo, Stratton, Sunapee) or stick with Mount Snow?
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
