Fischer Motive 80 C-LINE or Nordica FireTheDesigner 80 ?

Hi,

Help needed here please...

I need to change my everyday all-mountain ski. I ski mostly tight trees and bumps. I'm in the east, the snow is often firm.

After extensive research, I narrowed down my choices to the Fischer Motive 80 (or 84) C-LINE and the Nordica FireArrow 80.

I believe the carbon of the Fischer instead of Ti is a plus for bumps but it looks like the FA is more energetic on the groomed.

I like a playfull ski on the groomed (just place the ski on the side to start the turn).

If the FA is almost as good as the Motive in the bumps I think I would go with the FA.

Any inputs?

Thanks!

No idea on the Motive, but I own the FA80 Pro. Almost certainly the most fun ski I've owned.  Great all around ski, and positively rips on the groomed, crud, and shallow powder.

If you're under 170, you might consider the FA80 Ti, otherwise, go Pro.

Note:  The new-for-next-year FA84 EDT is getting stellar early reviews.  You may want to wait for some comparative tests, but I have heard firsthand that it is possibly a bit stiff in the bumps, but a better crud-buster due to slightly less sidecut.  I have not had a chance to try them out yet.

Thanks for the useful information.

I found a demo center where I can try the FA and the Motive. I will post my review... next season.

The FA84 seems promising and like the graphics on this one ;-)
