I am 130 lbs., 5'4", foot size 9.5 US, 27 mondo, 4.25 inch wide. I am intermediate to aggressive skier on blue terrain only, and I ski with carving skis.
My boots are Salomon X Wave 10, 110 flex; they were heated/molded to my feet at a ski shop with a boot fitter. Prior to that, I had pain on the top of my feet (the dorsal part), but the pain went away after the fitting. But even after the molding my boots were never quite comfortable... and especially the last several seasons it's been getting worse too. The only reason I am still able to last with them is because I ski only several days a season because I live away from the mountains. By the end of the last day of skiing, the bottom of my shin on one of the feet is in pain. On the other bottom of the shin, it's a little bit better (I wonder why). In addition, I would say my feet are starting to wobble with maybe few millimiters inside the boot, even though the boots are well strapped. I also use "Superfeet" insoles and ski socks too.
Should I spend any additional money on trying to refit these boots with new liners, new modifications, or should I go for new ones? If new boots, then I'm certainly not looking for the most expensive models. I was looking online, and I did like the Atomic Live Fit 120 because the width can be adjusted too, but now I understand that those boots were actually specifically made for heavier people.
Any suggestions. Thanks.
