Boot alignment issue? (from shell)

Hi guys,

I've had around 90 days on my boots. Looking at the shell near the heel I see it's not worn evenly - it's worn more toward the outside edges, particularly on the right boot. Do I have an alignment issue? Is it enough of an issue to warrant fixing? If so, how should it be fixed?

Appreciate any help you can offer!

are you attempting to show that you have worn the outside corner more on the shell from walking?

i am guessing some pedorthist/moron/shoe salesman/bootfitter at some point tried to sell you footbeds or new shoes by demonstrating that the outside heel of your shoe is more worn than the inside??????? if this statement is true, then you will be pleased to know the same parlor trick has absolutely nothing to do with where your ski boot soles have worn. your ski boot soles have wear because you have been walking on them for 90 days.

now that we have cleared up that mystery, get in to see a good boot fitter that specializes in alignment work. between whistler and vancouver there are many good shops to choose from.

they can assess your needs for canting by putting you inside the boot and measuring your stance.

after they have done the proper cant assessment, they will make recommendations as to the best method for changing your stance if it is needed.

good luck,

jim

Thanks; I'll do as you've suggested.
