Eagle Lodge at Breckenridge?

Hi,

I'm just looking into booking a vacation for next year, and came accross this place on a few (uk) sites.

As far as I can tell it says it's "privately run", now i'm not sure if that means it's privately owned as well?!

Anyway, does anyone happen to know who owns it? I'm trying to book the Master bedroom but the UK companies are telling me this is already booked, along with the Junior Master room and the Superior room, leaving the remaining 3 "standard" rooms.

I thought it was a bit early to have it already half-booked for next Feb??

Any info is much appreciated!

Joe :)

What is the exact dates of your trip in February? If it coincides with President's Day weekend in the US then it is very likely that it is booked this far out.

Hi, thanks for the reply!

We're hoping to stay from Feb 2nd through Feb 16th, which I think is just before Presidents day next year (18th?).

I've since found the owner and there is availability, we're just waiting to here back from another place in Breck run by Kokopelli, Chalet Chloe, then we'll make a decision.

There doesn't seem to be many euro-style catered chalets in the US which are close to the slopes, unless you guys know of any hidden gems??

I've never been to Breck, so I don't know much of the area. Someone else might be able to help out though.

Did you Google "catered chalet, breckenridge, co"?

If you're willing to spend nearly $1300 a night as at Chalet Chloe, you should find something.

There are lots of nice restaurants in Breck, there is free bus transport from all around the town and some pretty good lodgings that would, all together, cost you quite a bit less, I'd think.

This is true, it's not as common here ... Steamboat does have a company that does full catering, if you aren't locked into going to Breck. http://movingmountains.com/
