I found a pair of older Fischer GS skis (probably 06/07) that I'm interested in buying. The seller states that he has the bevels set to 0.5/0.5 to "decrease edge wear". My question is: did these skis come from the factory with no beveling with the expectation that the buyer would set them to his/her personally preferred angles, or did they come with the standard Fischer 3/1? If they came from the factory with a 3deg edge bevel, I'm thinking he took a lot of material away going to 0.5!

I think I may have found my answer. According to this catalog: http://www.skisavez.com/pdf/FISCHER_RACE_CATALOG-FW0708.pdf, "Fischer racing skis have an edge angle of 0.3° (Slalom and
Giant Slalom) and 1.0 – 1.3° (Super G and Downhill) when they leave the company."
