MY intern

I have a pretty cool job, and consider myself one of the luckiest people on the planet. Seriously. I get to live in the mountains,

work in the ski industry, travel -- and every now and then I get to create opportunities for others, which rules.

 

This year I had my first intern, his name is Jesse Hoffman, he's a ripping skier (Sweetgrass Productions Rider) so we

obviously have him on our Freeride Team at Tecnica Blizzard. Additionally, as an intern his duties are all about photos and video.

 

Remember his name as you will for sure see his name under photos both as a skier and as a photog.

Wow, nice work!!  Nice Stoke!! 

This sort of belongs in the video/photo area, but we'll wait to move it to see if it gets some of its attention.

Cool post! Love the video, especially the scenes with the brightly dressed skiers contrasting with the still, white aspens. Nice work!

Good story behind that young lady is that she is Jesse's older sister -- and just a little FYI the birch trees are Aspens.

Cool all around.  Back to watching her again.  Cheers.

 

OK, back.

 

Awesome.  Here's why:

 

Tilt shift.  Captures the magic we all feel but rarely see.

 

Extreme changes in subject size.  Antlike to blowing through the screen.  

 

That handdrag was so ill.

 

Then of course my favorite skier.

 

Slow speed/high speed.

 

My favorite skier again.

 

Seriously so technically well executed.

Really great work.  Love the shifts in perspective, distance and speed.

 

So many ways to ski and look at skiing. It's a metaphor for... ummm, something (thank goodness I'm not your intern, lol).
