Factory bevel for Hell and Back from Nordica.

Does anyone know what this is? I'm not planning on changing it initially and I know that I can, with trial and error and marker, attempt to figure it out. But, it would be SO much easier when I do the first tune to already have this info.

Hell and Back?

Uh oh, you've got yourself a devil-bevel. And he put them at 0.5 degrees.

Yeah, I read that somewhere, but it was dated 2005. Was hoping that wasn't really true.

I've been looking for side edge bevel guides for doing this factory edge, but not finding them.  Have been using Maplus guides with rollers up until now, but the adjustable one is irritating because its thickness-acceptance for various files is limited PLUS you can't accurately position it half way.  Been clicking around for a 1.5 degree tool, so far found nothing.  I came across a base bevel tool for .5 degree which I can use if I buy a longer diamond stone, but so far haven't found 1/2 degree adapter for my existing tool or a new gizmo to do this.

Leads?

Don't need those leads for crazy bevels.  Skied the new skis today and couldn't wait to make them "more normal".  Of course, after I ran in and had the on hill shop change the base and side bevels, I started hearing everyone bitching about conditions and talking about leaving....  So maybe it wasn't the skis...

Asked another shop, which normally sells the skis if they normally keep the originals or change them or if people bring them in asking for them to be changed.  Turned out that unless the buyer ASKS for something specific, they send all the skis out 1 and 1.  I had specifically told them not to touch the edges when they did the binding mount, so I was given what I asked for.  Yikes.

Anyway, re-tuning the edges myself a bit as they are still making me nervous as all hell.  It was powder over ice today on the front and these things about killed me.  Finally went to the back to get away from the edge issue.
