<Mt. Bachelor> Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 37. South wind between 8 and 11 mph.

Every bit as good as advertised. First lifetime ski day over 50K vertical.

Other than maybe Silverton, Highland's Bowl has the best lift assisted in the state right now and will be open thru April 22.   It's about 3:15 from DEN if you haul ass.

Complete waste of time unless the storm comes through this weekend. The groom was actually good on Sat - morning temps were 15 degrees at Winter Park, making the conditions like Dec of this season but generally better coverage and it never slushed up above the lower mountain on the northern exposures.

Perhaps, but my friends tell me they're having fun and it is much better expert skiing than anything along the front range.

I'm watching the weather and may hit closing weekend?

1/2 price too!

I can't do anything but agree with that biggrin.gif, but I wouldn't drive to Aspen for it. Unless of course that cutoff low forecast for this weekend materializes favorably (I feel a little bit silly even saying this, but wouldn't it figure?)

Here is one more photo that a friend took this past week while skiing near Seward, AK.

We had a great winter up North.

I still like the WP.  Great late season skiing because of 9,200ft base.  Unfortunately, the park service makes them shutdown by mid-April, I think it has to do with the Elk and Moose.  Not sure of what the conditions are now, but in March they were very good, especially up in Parsenn Bowl.   I've skied there in April a half dozen times over the past ten years and have never been disapointed, still lots of packed powder in top half.  Check around they may still have "good" snow this week.  Most years they could ski into May if they were allowed.

Sounds like WP is open until the 22nd this year.
