Skiing Wasatch this Sunday thru Wednesday

Thread Starter

My group is all solid intermediates that are comfortable on blues and easy blacks.

Looking to ski PCMR, Snowbasin, and one or two of the Cottonwoods (Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude; Alta is out bc of snowboarder in group).  Any advice on what resorts might be best for my group on what days given the storm coming through on Saturday night thru Monday?

Thinking Sunday might be windy, so I want somewhere relatively wind protected for that day.  (Solitude maybe?)

Also, any opinions on Solitude vs Brighton?

Thanks

Personally, I like Brighton better than Solitude.  The fact that they have mostly high speed quads is a factor.  The mountain tour is well worth the time for newbies.  All on groomed blues but get a good intro to the different areas . . . and where to check out low angle trees that hold good snow.

Solitude is fine.  But if not going to Honeycomb Canyon, not sure I would spend a full day with all the other options in the SLC area.
