I've got "The Ski" and K2 Cheeseburger skis. Are there any others that are very desirabble/popular, or rare? Thanks if u can suggest any. Regards, Kurt

Sooner rather than later, go search out some of Rossi Smash's threads, particularly his long-running "More Retro Memories" one. You will find many kindred spirits. And since you have The Ski, Phil will formally welcome you. biggrin.gif

Of the rare 70's skis...the forest green The Ski is near the top for me. Olin Alberts are up there too.

Dunno what the rarest are, but The Ski has to be near the top of the list of most desirable. My pile consists of Head 720, Kneissl Red Star, K2 710, K2 Shorts, hart ballet and Dynastar MPI TR.

I don't know about rarest, but I have found Rossignol ST Comps to be fantastic in bumps, regardless of length, having tried various length's from 180 to 203.  Some Olin's from that era were good for bumps or powder.

If only there was a Blue book or NADA guide for collectors.  Alas, beauty is in the eye of the beholder alone when it comes to 70's skis.  My $0.02 would be for various Hexcels that I lusted after but never could afford.

Maybe we could have Philpug do an antiques roadshow for skis whereby putzes can haul in their worthless attic-bound skinnies, only to have Phil pore over them and declare them otherwise priceless relics if only they didn't have someone's name engraved above the Spademan bindings.
