Hey Tricia,
We will open 9 holes this Saturday, 5/5, and 18 the following Friday. I'm back into normal golf schedule already, Wed and Thurs off, so I should get my first round of the season in up here on Wed, 5/9. I could (and would like) to be getting some range time in but have been fighting a hand injury and don't want to aggravate it.
Just amazing, heard on the radio A-Basin still had a 64" base in mid June last season and this year-oh well. Averages are composed of highs and lows. But I did get 3 hours of skiing in at Copper a few weeks ago, LOL! We'll get a few more turns in next season

Question for the locals:
Is there enough snow to ski the pass if we have some people to shuttle?

As long as folks are there ... we will be there. Im not much of a golfer ... anyone got patience to teach a very bad golfer. Im also open to hiking for with or without turns and impromptu photography opportunities. Rachel - I can climb baby routes in the gym and can bring my harness, but have never ever ever climbed outside. Still looking forward to the gathering -- totally need a break from life.

2 questions...
1) what size "cups" are those? Do they just keep adding D's? Like DD... DDD? Or do we call these ZZ-cups?
2) I wonder what they are wearing under those cups...??

How could we live in a world like that?
I'm starting to worry about this gathering, the lack of skiable terrains leaves way too much time to

WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT? :)
Spent a few minutes earlier trying to find a list of past closing dates for A-Basin and didn't really have any luck, but I'd be willing to put some money on this being their earliest closing date ever.

If we drink up at this particular GTG, will it be for 2012-13 snow?
Just wondering

Quote:No no - you got it all wrong. If pigs had wings, we could get bacon AND ping wings. Chicken wings are an awesome food... and pork products are superior to chicken products... therefore I conclude that pig-wings would be EPIC WIN

Lets say we bring a shot ski - What shall we fill said shot glass's with if not ULLR?

Quote:No, Ullr has an immediate impact. (You remember the Tahoe Gathering ... Jimmy and Bazzer et al. can tell you I was an Ullr Nazi on Sat and Sun.) It must be consumed with several others, as well. I tried to coax some snow in CO this season, but I made the mistake of imbibing alone. Ullr is a social deity. Last Mother's Day, if you recall, was 50 degrees, it seemed to be signaling the end of the line. However, remember this?
Then we received record snowfall for the month.
As for corporate quaffing, I think it would be worth a shot (heh) to partake in Ullr on perhaps the final day of the May gathering -- we could see if that helps the 12/13 season; but if it has immediate impact, at least it won't mess up the hiking and biking and whatever-elsing-besides-skiing that we should be doing. And, what we fill with other than Ullr, don't forget post #156. (But please DO forget post #160).

I gotta admit, as a casual observer (what else can I be, as a Floridian?); ULLR sounds like a gutless wimp... no next-season-credit, must have 'group therapy' (which negates Finndog's ultimate sacrifice earlier this season, what a buzzkill)... really? We have to bank a good snow year on a Diva? Sounds a lot like Brett Favre...
