Carving skis

I'm looking for suggestions on a carving/bump ski. I'm 26, 6'3''  and about 220 lbs. I'm  currently skiing in Vail/Beaver Creek since i live in west Vail. I have been skiing mostly on a pair of Volkl Kendos in 184 cm length and really like them but they seam to want to go in large arced turns versus short radius carved turns, I'm also learning to ski bumps and have had a little success when they aren't to big or tight together.

I've looked into trying a pair of the nordica fire arrow 80 pro but haven't been on them yet. Maybe even the Volkl RTM 80 in a 181cm.

thanks

I'd say you're on the right track.  I love mine.  Big-time grin machines.  If the Pro feels too stiff in the bumps, try the ti version.

with my general size and weight I'd think the pro will be about right I was looking for a 180-185cm ski with a 14-17m radius and the FA pro looks about right. What height/weight and length are you on?

6' 2", 195 pounds, fairly strong expert (not the fastest speed-monger anymore), on the 181 Fire Arrow 80 Pro.  Couldn't be happier.

thanks for the replies I tend to get men around 5' 10'' and 160 lbs. which doesn't always translate when they are on a 16.. length I'll try and find those in a demo, have been looking pretty hard at the nordicas.

Haven't skied the Nordicas but, based on past experience, I'll bet they would be a good choice.  I have skied this year's Head iPeak84 and it was a really good carver and one of the better bump skis I have skied.   It is also available for a great price from Dawg and others since the iPeak series is being replaced by the Rev series.
