Wow Scott!   Some good deals here.  I tested the Cochise at the Gathering, and was pretty impressed in the softer 3D snow although it still could toss you around.  Also liked some Nordica and Head RV models you don't carry.   So, um, the Elan Olympus...would you consider it more forgiving than a Cochise?

Yes, very much more forgiving than the Cochise. I think the Cochise definitely feels stronger (talking 185 vs. 183 here) in straight lines, cliffs, big mountain style comp terrain.  For skied-out snow, soft bumps, trees, bit more sane speeds, the Olympus is the ticket.  For new snow, they are pretty similar.  I love the Cochise when I am above tree line and skiing new snow, windpack at fast speeds.  Once it gets skied out, or if I am in the trees, I am on the Olympus.

Any Twin Tips ?  I'm looking for a set  up for my son 150-160 cm new or used  for fun in the snow ripping up the mountain.

G'day Sir Dawg,

I'm looking for some new boards and since you're listing quite a few of them I thought I'd seek your input.

I'm looking for some boards to fit between my Progressor 9+ and Nordica Enforcers. Somewhere between say 84 and 88mm to use when there is fresh snow but not a dump...3 to 6 inches.

I'm 6', 230lbs. and level 8 skier. I ski mostly blue and black trails, like to rip the groomers and challenge myself with steeps. Also, since I ski at Killington the ice factor mustn't be overlooked.

 

Here is my targeted short list:

Elan Apex - 177cm

Head iPeak 84 PR Pro - 177cm

Kastle MX88 - 178cm

Kastle BMX88 - 178cm

Volkl Kendo - 177cm

 

Sort of think the Apex and Kendo are prime candidates....the MX88's if I want splurge. Afterall, I've been a good boy and I would think a pair of Kastle skis should be on most decent skier's bucket list. Don't you agree?

 

Also, anyone else that would like to toss in their 2 pence have at it....please save your bashing for the bumps!

Are the inventory and prices marked on website current and accurate?  I'm particularly interested in the Elan Olympus, Blizzard Bonafide, and Cochise.  If I like your facebook page can I get a discount that will apply to the blowout items, or just the preseason items?  Would it be best to order from the website, or can I just deal with you personally?  I"m in Salt Lake.

Unfortunately when Scott is off riding his bike things don't seem to happen back at the shop. Tried to get skis purchased and paid for delivered but customer service disappeared.  So have asked credit card provider (bank) to reverse the charge.  A pity as I was looking for ward to getting and using the skis.

any chance you have the 2012 (not '13) Bonafide or Bodacious skis left?

 

177-189 are acceptable lengths.
