It keeps snowing at Whitewater. Not huge dumps, but generally 4 to 12 inches per day.

I had to take a couple mornings off work last week to get in a few runs before tying myself to the computer for the day.

These pictures were taken Friday, March 2. I am not in any of them.

It was.

I know we have a "small" area that's difficult to get to, but when it's good, I like to show it off a little.

Fun little spot that no one talks about, only had one day with the family in pea soup visibility but as the day wore on and the clouds lifted, I began to understand.

You know your in business, as you walk from your car to the day lodge and avy bombs are going off....

Speaking of daylodge, how about the menu... has to be the best in the business..

we munched on a felafel and chicken shiskabobs on a pita served with  a strawberry vinagrette spinach salad.

And your close to Nelson. I have travelled southern BC fairly extensively and if I was offered a same paying job around Nelso/Kaslo/Trail/ Salmo/ Creston areas the moving companies would be on high alert

We're going to be visiting both Red Mountain and WhiteWater the first week of April and we're hoping the abundance of snow continues. Last year we were there the same time, our first time, and couldn't believe our good fortune re: POW!

On another note I don't see on the WhiteWater site when closing day is. Any idea?

Under Events, the website lists April 9, 2012. I wouldn't be surprised if that's an error, since April 9 is a Monday. April 8 may be the last day. Hike after that.

Whitewater has traditionally re-opened for a weekend after their "last weekend," while being closed the weekdays in between. This year, that would be April 14 and 15. Since it's not listed, it's apparently not happening this year.
