Thread Starter

I am looking for a powder ski and so far I've been looking at the K2 obsethed and possibly the hellbent (i think that ones a bit too wide underfoot) the rossignal s7 line sir francis bacon and the mr pollard opus. I have a pair of 09 k2 extremes and is 6 im 175 and a reasonably strong skier. I can do a double black anyday. Your suggestions on what ski i should get out of these or any other suggestions.

thanks

There are literally dozens of good powder skis and while there are nuances to all of them, they all work pretty well. You could lose several opportunities to go skiing while trying to sort through the minutiae. You have a good list. Pick the one that seems right, go for at least a 180 but preferably longer, and go have fun.

Check out the reviews from Mount Rose last week for some additional thoughts

armada JJs are really nice powder skis. They float really well, and can still lay railroad track on groomers, at least IMO.

Nordica Patron or Radict (Weird graphics but ski better than any powder ski I've ever been on), or Dynastar Cham 107/127.

Powder skis are a love it hate it category, if you want to find the right ones you need to demo.

Or just read lots of reviews over on TGR in Tech Talkwink.gif  If everyone is pounding the table on how great a ski is, there is likely some truth to it. That said, my deep powder day skis are PM Gear Lhasa Pows in a 196. I love them. I have had some really good pow skis from Praxis too.
