We could say both coasts are deep right now.  It continues nuking here in Tahoe, but Josh you keep sending the stoke.  The East Coast Gathering is ramping up to be as epic as the Tahoe event.  Keep the snow coming.

I think you should patent your branch bashing technique.

sweet video, thanks for sharing (although my jealousy as i sit here at work is through the roof).

i was hoping to get up there this weekend, and just checked out the forecast.  aside from the fact that skiing in rain is not the most comfortable thing, how does "80% showers/wintry mix" affect your 36 inches?  or phrased another way, what will "a quarter to a half inch of rain" do?  obviously, skiing > not skiing, but just trying to get a feel of what to expect.

honestly saturday skiing stuff like this is going to be not only not fun but pretty dangerous with wet slide(as in avalanche) potential. the inbounds woods should be only merely sucky due to deep wet snow.

but the rain is going to consolidate the snow pack hopefully not freeze to hard and cut down on the risk of slides once it freeze and sets us up better for corn skiing. Sunday should see enough snow aka 6 inches plus that everything should be skiing good again.

If you want to ski mid winter conditions screw work and come up today friday. I actually love skiing(well I just love skiing period) in the rain though I just turn my attention to groomers and well packed bump runs from the woods. Rain make pretty soft fun snow to play around on thats for sure.

Cirque I can not patent as people have been doing it forever. It helps to have alot of experience running SL gates. The nice thing about being able to take care of minor branches and trees is that it opens up more lines and let you keep the flow going when others would stop.
