Who's the best - Page 2

I started this exact same thread a few years ago (http://www.epicski.com/t/60593/best-skier-here) -- with the instruction that no one could vote for themselves -- and I got massive shit for it. But I think it's interesting, not an ego stroke fest. I figured at the time that Martin Bell would be tops, but some knowledgeable people also chipped in for Tyrone.  Needless to say there are some really exceptional skiers who post here; safe to say that if you start a thread like this (as I did) you're definitely not one of them.

There may, or may not, be evidence that FairtoMiddlin is the best skier on EpicSki.

We need Epicski superlatives:

Best bump skier: ?

Best Tree Skier:  Josh Matta?

Best Racer:  mblazerUSST?

Best green-groomer-zoomer: ?

Best backcountry skier:

Best Telemarker:  Telerod?  Cantunamunch?

Best angulator:

Best Inclinator:

Best crudbuster:

Best skier I had a chance to run some laps with at The Gathering in Tahoe: ScotSkier - hands down one of the fastest, most aggressive, and skilled skiers I've ever had the pleasure of watching live on snow.

I`d like to know how you are qualifying that?  Best skier with a snow-free trash dump as a home hill?  Best skier with different length legs?  Best apre-skier?

Bob Lee is probably a better Telemark skier than I. I'm sort of good, not great. Yeah, Josh Matta is probably the best of the Epicskiers I've had the pleasure to ski with.

I'm probably the second best Teleboarder here. I only know of one other. smile.gif

There really is no "best" skier here (besides Chaos).  But there are plenty of damn good ones.wink.gif

Damn. I was sure it was Josh. Back to square one.

The truth is that there are many members here who have username that don't reflect their real life name, nor their position in the ski world.

I believe that we've got a lot more talent here than we realize.  Most of that talent won't boast about it, and many of them probably read here with a smile, realizing how full of sh!t most of the rest of are, without the need or desire to call anyone out.

I doubt it. I pointed out to him at the Starthaus Gathering evening, and he did NOT dispute my assertion that "I can't believe you're a pro, I'm so much better than you."

Not sure what Daron Rahlves username is, but Martin Bell posts as Martin Bell.

Tyrone shoelaces

I'm the best American skier at my hill. If I don't count that telemark dude who lives down the valley. He's pretty good. Damn, gonna have to get that guy's pass pulled.

Prickly Jr.'s gonna be better than me pretty soon anyway. Don't think i can get his passport pulled.

If you can trick Jr. into swearing an oath to a foreign government or military, that will take care of the whole citizenship issue. Not that I'd use such dirty tactics myself.
