We're looking for a place in Eastern Austria to go skiing- what would one recommend? It seems like all the amazing skiing in Austria is on the West side of Austria. However, we are driving from Budapest, Hungary so want to keep the drive no more than up to four hours. Flying is not an option. What are some ski resorts we should check out, with some nicer or higher-end hotels/resorts to stay at?

One of us speaks French & English and is VERY experienced in skiing, but not snowboarding. The other, only English and zero knowledge of both skiing and snowboarding. Also, if there are any recommendations for resorts which would have private English instruction of how to snowboard and/or ski.
