As cheap as possible... of course... *Laughing*

Being retired, with 2 hip replacements, I still crave the thrill of carving a turn on the groomers after playing in the pow.

Hopefully... I will be able to enjoy this for a while longer, but I still have to watch the budget...

and you want a shaman?  its a fun ski but for "carving" with less stress on body, 110 underfoot might not be the ticket.

Well... It's either the Shamans, or I keep pushing my 186 Skilogik Howitzers into shorter turns... I figured the 161 Shamans would actually be kinder to my body... I used to ride 156 Fischer WC SL with a 9 meter turn radius and miss the fun... The Howitzers are 110 underfoot but I wear out quicker on the groomed when pushing them. I want to be able to go in and out of the fun stuff, but not stay on the groomed all the time.

well, you can do that with the shammies for sure. It depends how aggresive you are goign to want to rock them over, they are still 110 underfoot and 160 on the tip. As long as you aren't trying to reproduce the SL performance and feel they are fun, they can be hooky in heavier stuff if you aren't watching yourself.  Not sure if that's what you want in powder and with 2 replacement hips. I am thinking about a ski like a DPS 112 or even the new Blizz' Gunsmoke?  What's your weight and height; I take it you are a confident skilled skier?  Do you want these for all condition performance or powder and soft groomers?  Not clear on the spectrum here.
