Colorado (Summit County) 26 Mar - 06 Apr

Wife and I will be out in March and would love to hook up with anyone that will be around.

I can get down most things and occasionally look like I know what I'm doing.

The wife just started this year and is getting (slowly) down easier blues.

On most days I'll get the wife to terrain she can handle and will then be free to hit whatever terrain looks good.  Then I'll hook back up with her for lunch and then off again after lunch until rejoining her for the last couple runs of the day.  Of course we're flexible with all of this.

We both have Epic passes and would not be averse to hitting areas other than Vail resorts on 1 or 2 days.

Here's to hoping the snow continues and hope to hook up with anyone interested.

I just got back to Summit and had my first ski day of the season yesterday on my new ACL- plan to take things slow as I continue to rehab and get my ski legs under me, but have committed to ski at least one day during that period with another Bear who is staying at my place with a group.

PM me closer to the dates and I'll have a better idea what I'll be up to...

Thanks for checking in Greg!  Let's definitely hook up.  I probably will not ski 31 Mar, but if I do it would be from 1st chair to around 11-11:30AM and bail when it gets crowded.  I'll definitely be skiing on 30 Mar and 1/2 Apr though.  Will be a pleasure to meet you.

PM sent OB.

Just wanted to let everyone know that do to weather forecast and the deteriorating conditions that weather has and will bring, we might not be coming out.  Final decision not to be made until Saturday the 24th, but it doesn't look promising.

I get 4 weeks vacation a year and try to use most of it for skiing, but I would rather save it and have more time to ski next season than come out for marginal conditions.

I'm still holding out small hope that the forecast will change.  On a positive note Michel and I have signed up for our Epic passes for next season.

Many thanks to all who have shown interest in this thread and I'll update it Saturday.

Old Boot says,....this is why you come skiing this time of year.

We'll let you know how A basin is when we get there, we decided to do a day or two at Vail as the conditions here really are quite nice for spring conditions, quite a bit is still open at Vail and though it's thin in places the majority of it is still quite skiable and I'm not overly worried about dammaging my skis.  I'll put up a trip report later with some photos of the conditions.

some of this at Breck today also, but no camera.  Will either check out Vail or go back to Breck tomorrow.

Here's the closest I could come to finding a beefcake shot. Topless Baz, well, at least I'm not wearing a wetsuit hood.

So how was breck, we were thinking of Breck tomorrow or Monday.  Went for a drive past A basin tonight and decided that the terrain was looking pretty limited with the back being closed and we would probably stay at Vail tomorrow and possibly Breck on Monday.  Vail is mostly open with definitely some thin stuff but lots of ways down the hill without worry about the thin areas.  So still lots to ski.

Drove past A Basin tonight.  It's looking pretty thin but still skiable.  Not sure how it'll hold up for Mother's day though.  The Montezuma bowl shows open on the web site but most of the Double Diamond Terrain and diamond in it is closed in it so you're skiing the front and on the front there was a lot of bare spots showing through and the snow was over all brown tinged from the dirt mixing in.  Hard to see in smaller photos but you can see there isn't much snow off the main runs so it looked like you'd have to use quite a bit of care coming down anywhere but the main runs.

Have fun all as we've officially cancelled, but that bikini pic sure brought a smile to my face.  We already bought our Epic passes for next season, so we'll see everyone then.

Many thanks to all who wanted to hook up and again for all those who are out there have a blast.
