Canadian Rockies

Looking into next year already and thinking about Canadian Rockies.  We are looking for an area that offers shopping as skiing as the wives only ski a day or two.  My ski party range from beginners to advanced/intermediate so no off piste or double D.

 

Thinking about Banff.

Banff is a very pretty town, very quaint, tons of smaller shops.  Not a big town/cosmopolitan vibe.  Laid back, very cool.  Sunshine Village is 5 minutes down the highway, there are shuttles running all the time to the mountain.  Alternatively, you drive up the highway for about a half hour longer and hit Lake Louise.  Excellent variety of terrain for all types of abilities.  Outstanding scenery.
