So. I just got back from Breckenridge and am already wanting to plan my next trip; which I have no idea when it will be. I love skiing.. Leave me alone.
I was wondering if anyone could provide some constructive feedback about or some recommendations for my next trip. Please don’t turn this into a “this place is better or worse than that place” thread. Keep it civil and constructive.
I am a level 8-9 skier and my wife is a 6-7. I like bumps, steeps, and glades. I have never skiid true deep powder, but I’d really like to try it. I’ve been to Vail(2x),Keystone(2x), Beaver Creek, Winter Park, and Breckenridge… are ya seeing the CO trend yet? I’m looking for something a little different than the ones I listed. I usually covered the entire mountains in those places in about 3-4 days.
Let’s assume we will also have a novice and beginner on the trip, so there still needs to be reasonable amount of easy terrain and a good ski school.
I would like to try either the less travelled CO resorts, ID, UT, MT, or WY resorts, but I’m afraid to really give them a go for fear of not knowing enough about them or snow conditions. The trip would be anywhere from mid Feb to early March. I would need a place big enough to keep us not getting bored for 5 days or 2 resorts to hit for 3 days each.
I don’t really care about luxurious accommodations/amenities, apre ski, restaurants, or shopping as long as I can get a crazy tshirt.
Any personal experiences, recommendations, or opinions(keep it clean) are welcome. Any comments on cost comparisons would be great too.
