Many POW gloves have them. I believe they're based in the PNW. Love my Tormentas, and the all leather gloves look nice if you're looking for that style.

I have one attached with a hair band elastic to every pair of gloves I own for skiing.

BEND, Ore. -- A testy situation at Mt. Bachelor over the weekend led to a firestorm on the Internet and a public apology from the ski resort for comments by President Dave Rathbun.Mt. Bachelor's Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/mtbachelorfanpage) was buzzing after Rathbun called a customer a profanity while he and resort crews were working to get the Outback chairlift open.Apparently, 45 season pass-holders skied past "closed" signs to wait for the lift to open.Comment posters said the skiers were yelling at Rathbun and other workers when the confrontation occurred.The mountain posted an apology, and individual apologies were made to the 45 pass-holders.NewsChannel 21 tried talking to Rathbun Monday, but resort spokesman Andy Goggins said the apology posted Saturday afternoon would be the only response.Here it is, in full:"On behalf of Dave Rathbun and Mt. Bachelor: For those of you who witnessed this incident at the bottom of Outback Express this morning, Dave asked us to post his apology to our page for his loss of control by using inappropriate language while interacting with a guest during the situation. Staff had been working for 4+ hours on getting the lift open to the public."The guests who witnessed the situation were at the base of Outback before the trails were open to the public and before the lift had been cleared for operation by Ski Patrol and lift maintenance. As a result, tempers on both sides were running hot."Dave regrets he responded to the situation in the manner which he did and he is sending each person who witnessed the encounter a separate email to this effect and to inform them of our closed terrain policy and consequences for skiing/riding closed terrain. I can say that the goggle squeegee provided on DaKine gloves is /less/ than fully satisfactory.    Especially when scraping snowblower residue.

Smith and Scott poles have soft rubber grips than can be shaped with a hand-rasp into an edge--that works far better on icy beads.
