Anybody know if there is a shop or place to bring old skis for recycling in the North Tahoe area?

You might try Philpug. He keeps adding to his collection of outdoor furniture and picket fences made of skis.

adaptive ski school at Alpine was happy to get my old skis. They cut them up to make outriggers. They can even use some broken skis. I did put a pair of old black xscreams by the side of donner pass rd with a free sign on them and they were gone in 10 minutes--some folks aren't as particular about what they ski on. Also some patrollers like wide beat to hell skis for snow safety which I guess is rough on skis.  If you have any of those you might see if squaw or alpine patrol wants them (don't think I'd bother with northstar--I don't think beating up skis doing snow safety is a huge issue there.)

That collection is a bit older than my vintage. Not sure Phil wants any late 90's skis.

Thanks for the tip on Alpine Adaptive...I'll contact them and see if they are interested.

Anyone else have any ideas? One thought I had was to leave them in a rack at a resort. Maybe they have a program or something with all the lost skis they end up with...
