How to ski with elan titanium ids HCX?

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I have a pair of elan titanium ids HCX, and im wondering how im supposed to ski with them. I know they're for carving, which im not exactly sure how to do. What type of skiing should I do with these skis? and is there something I shouldn't do with them? like jumps? because they're pretty heavy.

I'm not sure I fully understand your question.   Are you asking for instructions on how to carve turns?  Did you just get these skis?  You will need to tell us about your skiing ability before we could really say much.

This link from SKI magazine suggests the OP's ski is an extreme carver.

I remember those skis.  The HCX was designed as an "extreme carver."  It was meant to carve up groomers.  All it took was some subtle boot pressure and a lateral move to make the skis turn.

 

As for versatility?  There isn't much.  Keep it on the groomers and have a ball.

i'm a decent skier, low level diamonds are the best i can do. I don't do tricks, I stay on the trail. I don't know any ski terms either. What are groomers? are those like normal trails? What do you mean by subtle boot pressure? and yeah, some instructions on how to carve properly would be very helpful.

Groomers are the runs that have been flattened and smoothed out so people don't struggle trying to make turns or stop.  You need to get yourself to the ski school and take some lessons and learn some terminology.  Without a decent understanding of terms it would be nearly impossible for anyone to explain how to carve.

Sorry that wasn't clear, the lessons are to learn to carve.  Some of the terminology just comes with the lessons.

If you're such a "decent" skier, why are you having trouble figuring out how to ski your new boards that are 10 years old.  You sound like a troll to me.

I'm such a "decent" skier because I never actually learned properly, I kind of taught myself with a bit of help from some ski pro, who happened to give me his skis.
