AMAZING LED skiing!

This would be a ton of fun, and looks like it puts off enough light to see relatively whats in front of you! I wonder if these would ever become popular enough and implemented at night ski spots?

I'm having a hard time imagining that not being extremely dangerous. Looks cool though!

there's plenty of lighting solutions where you can ski in front of you.  lots of Super bright and efficient LEDs these days.

 

You can drive your car 65mph with headlights, you can relatively easily create an LED setup that can output just as much light as headlights and more  with mail-order components (just simple electronics, no rocket science degree or top secret access to prototype LEDs needed). 

 

That video is more just for the benefit of the camera and getting a cool visual rather than for the rider.

It won't, you get too much of that light into your own eyes to see what's ahead.

The more powerful LED today is capable of producing more light than both your car headlights combined in a pakcage size of an egg (including optics though without power supply), so as above mentioned you can easily make one mounted to helmet for night skiing.
