I'm staying with my daughter and her family in W. Jordan and have been in SLC since Tuesday. Skied Wednesday at Solitude, Thursday at the Canyons and yesterday at Alta.As others have said, warm spring conditions, especially at the Canyons, although with their acreage there was plenty to ski. Very sticky at the lower elevations. Alta was great yesterday-good coverage in many areas and we had a blast in the bowls. Snow varied from some frozen crusty stuff to some sticky areas with many variations inbetween.
I'm taking today off to spend with my daughter and granddaughter (and to let the old body rest a bit). Back at it tomorrow-I'll see what the storm brings to decide where I go. This is only my second trip to Utah, so I'm feeling a little gaperish feeling my way around. Looking at conditions at my home mountain in Upstate NY, this is the last skiing I'll be doing this season.
