Where to have a bachelor party in April?

So some friends and I are entertaining the idea of having a bachelor party at a Western US ski resort either the 2nd or 3rd weekend in April. It'll be a bunch of 30-something skiers of all different levels, so extreme terrain is not of primary importance. What is of primary importance is nightlife... places to party and maybe get a little rowdy. 

 

Places we're considering: Tahoe, Aspen, Vail, Breck

I've skiied a lot in Utah and I don't really think PC or SLC will quite fit the bill. Also, considering the weak snow this year, I'd like a place that we can count on having some snow in mid-april. 

 

Any suggestions?

If I was doing a ski bachelor party, it'd have to be Tahoe or Whistler. Europe would be even better.

 

Tahoe gives you the option of casinos in addition to bars/nightclubs and Whistler seems to be the N. American ski-party leader. Or, since terrain is second to partying, maybe Vegas with Ski Las Vegas/Brian Head day trips.

Ooops...didn't read your dates. That's going to limit your options. Tahoe and Whistler should still be good, but I'm guessing Vegas'll be out for skiing.

Yeah I think Tahoe would be fun, but we'd probably want to stay in south Tahoe to be close to the casinos, right? Heavenly is only reporting around a 30" base. That doesn't bode well for April.

If you can go to Canada, Whistler is the obvious choice.  It'll be open daily throughout April, it has plenty of snow and terrain for all.  The party scene is unmatched and if you get there during the Telus festival, which is during your window, it will be off the scale.  April is a fantastic month there.

No-brainer. Whistler nightlife is truly legendary with very good reason. Maybe you want to get a little rowdy, but you'll be hanging the others back if you're only a little rowdy.

 

And best of all, if you stay in the village, you can crawl back to your hotel, since in April the prices come down pretty well.

 

The wildlife is also absurd- beware of cougars........biggrin.gif

I did mine in Aspen, but I think Whistler during Telus would be the bomb!

I live in Tahoe and also do bachelor parties. Normally I would be persuading you to do have your bachelor party in Tahoe because where else can you gamble and ski? However I'm sure you've heard about the crappy season Tahoe is having so I would highly recommend going to Whistler. I go to Whistler ever year for the Telus Festival ( April 13-22 ) and always have great conditions. There are also some great deals 4 nights lodging and a 3 day lift ticket for $84pp! Those people up in British Columbia really know how to have a good time. They were party hard after that Stanley Cup loss.
