From Jackson Hole to Sun Valley and back

Hello,

I need your help.
I am going to ski JH in mid march and I would like to visit some friends at SV.Does anybody know if there is a bus or any alternative way of making the trip?.

I'm guessing no.  Everything (bus, plane) will go to SLC first.  I'm thinking it's a 5 hour drive from JH to SV.  Renting a car would be the best bet.

I live in the Sun Valley area and occasionally ski in Jackson.

 

I don't know of any way except flying the long way (thru SLC) or driving.

Please pardon me for drifting off subject a bit, but how has the skiing been up in SV lately?

Good. 100% open, nice weather, mostly good coverage, not a lot of new snow, but that is pretty typical for SV.

Hello Bill,

I think the best way is driving since flying will be expensive.And Hailey is always complicated with the weather...

Tell me.How log is the drive?.Is it dangerous?

4-1/2-5 hours if the roads are good. All two lane. If roads are not good, take 89 S out of Jackwson instead of Teton pass. This route has no steep passes.
