05 Dynastar Skicross 10 vs 2012 Dynastar Speed Course Ti

Hello all.  I have been skiing an older pair of Dynastar Skicross10s recently and have been wowed by their edge hold in blue ice/frozen snow conditions and their ability to work on moguls as well.  Much better edge hold than my newer Head Monster 78's!  I am wondering how the new Speed Course Ti would compare to the old Skicross?

That SC10 was a good ski for the time, but edge hold on the Course ti will low you away.  Less versatile in the bumps & crud thou + a better binding!

Thanks for that....Is there a ski in the Dynastar line that still rips on ice, but is passable on moguls?

The new Dynastar Speed Cross removes one layer of metal from the Course Ti.  That'd have to help in the bumps.

The Contact Cross (or even the Contact Cross Ti) would potentially be that bit softer again.

Good luck.

Sorry to hijack, but what happened to the whole skicross category that was so popular 6 or so years ago?

RIP frown.gif.  The skinny 17 m radius ski was great for someone looking for a groomer zoomer.

There's still the Fischer WC RC Pro.

Skier Cross is a competition, and Stockli won.
