Had the opportunity to get up to Sunday River last Sunday Feb 3rd and while all of us New England city dwellers have appreciated the lack of winter, certainly the ME/NH/VT mountains are a little less happy about it.

Surprisingly, between some recent powder gifted by mother nature and their snowmaking operation, there was quite a bit of enjoyable terrain open. After an amazingly fantastic breakfast at Crossroads Diner, we were on the slopes by 9:30 and got in a solid 4 hours or so before heading home for the big game. Not too crowded at all, and while there was some crust and ice to deal with, there was some loose powder to enjoy along the way.

Certainly nice to get a warm-up day in before the big Tahoe trip!  Gathering here we come!
